Sunflex mounts the stage with Genesis


One of the up-coming RnB and Hip-Hop artistes whose voice wants to be heard over the air is Sunflex. Born Sunday Ochigbo-27 in Oshodi area of Lagos, the musical act who hails from Okpokwu LGA of Benue State in an interview with Daily Sun recently disclosed how he fell in love with music right from his childhood, the bloodless battle he faced in the course of making his debut album, his plans to promote the culture of Idoma and source of inspiration.
Hear him, “ Music has always been my dream right from tender age, then I took my time watching and imitating Joe and R-Kelly on how they sing and I kept praying to God to also make my dream come true like them.” He declared that one cannot make name in the music industry without having the gift of singing, observing that music production is a bloodless war because one have to be submissive and dedicated to it even when the capital is no there, speaking further, the young chap noted that the secret of those who are making name in the showbiz today was a result of absolute dedication and creativity. Ochigbo stressed that with his music the abandoned culture of his people will be resurrected, with a full support from his parents.
On his album, he has this to say, “ the album Genesis portrays a humble beginning and determination with four tracks viz. What could you do, Show what you got, venture is success (featuring LyrigG) to mention, the journey so far has not been easy but with courage, prayer and determination; I’ll also get there.

Asked about his source of inspiration, Sunflex said, “Every perfect gift is from above, but what inspires me most is song of birds and good weather, noting that his role models are R-Kelly, Omarion and Joe. Been solo is never a threat to me because I always make a good decision while alone, he declared.
Sunday who had performed in a number of shows in Lagos and Benue State believes that the Nigeria entertainment industry is one of the best in the world for producing talented artistes who are making name across the globe.
“Dream will remain dream if you don’t work hard to actualize it, don’t see anything impossible because with God all things are possible, determination leads to Success,” Ochigbo advised.
