1.APA GATE HOTEL is located opposite Jesus College, Makurdi Road, Otukpo. “Apa Gate is an interesting and lovely place to hang out. It’s a modern hotel with  required facilities. 3.RICE MILL, OTUKPO: Otukpo Rice Mill, which is regarded as one of the biggest in the West African sub-region, is another interesting place to visit this xmas. Activities at the once and still booming industry established more than 50 years ago, have provided jobs to countless of men and women.
The rice mill, equipped with about 200 milling machines, occupies 20 hectares of land within the quiet town of Otukpo, Benue State. There are different buildings within the mill complex with specific operations, and outside the mill, large pots in many numbers
can be seen. The pots are used to parboil grains (rice). 
The Rice mill provides employment to the people, and indeed adds to the slogan of the state, “Basket food of the Nation”.

More importantly, the town has some historical significance for the Idomas. It is the headquarters of their ancient kingdom.
The town habours the palace of Agabaidu, the Och’Idoma, the traditional and cultural head of the Idoma nation.
