The All Progressives Congress, APC, senatorial candidate in Benue South in the last election, Comrade Dan Onjeh has opened up on what the president-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari told him during a recent courtesy call on the ex-general by some chieftains of the APC from Benue State.
Onjeh, who was appointed Director of Youth Affairs for Buhari’s campaign team told IDOMA VOICE on phone that the former Head of State is still happy with the people of Benue State for voting overwhelmingly for him during the March 28 presidential election.

He said, “Well, we both exchanged pleasantries and the Peoples’ General was happy with APC leaders in the state for delivering the zone to the party during the presidential and gubernatorial elections.
“That was not the first time I would be meeting with the General though. I was appointed the Director of Youth Affairs for his campaign team and he has been following our activities back in Benue South. It was a brief chat. Of course we all know Gen. Buhari as Man of the People.”
IDOMA VOICE noted that when George Akume introduced Onjeh as the man who gave the current Senate President a serious ‘headache’ during the election, the General could not help but clap and hail the ex NANS president with a sigh of victory.
However, an insider who would not want his name in print advised Onjeh to let Mark have his way and work with Gen. Buhari who assume office come May 29.
According to the elder statesman, Dan would function best as a Youth Minister.
