Akume: Anger, disquiet in Benue over emergence of Saraki as senate president

There’s currently dark cloud in Makurdi, the Benue State capital following the emergence of Bukola Saraki as the Senate President of the 8th assembly. 
Ealier, there was celebration in the town of Benue, especially among Tiv natives following the endorsement of Lawan and Akume as Senate president and deputy senate president respectively.
However, in clear show of political game, Saraki who dumped the APC last night for the PDP as picked by the opposition party and eventually emerged winner of the keenly contested election.
IDOMA VOICE checks reveal that feelings in town of Benue is that is anger and despair following the defeat of the ex Benue governor.

A top APC stalwart who spoke with our reporter on Tuesday described the development as sad and annoying.
Findings by this reporter reveal that in Makurdi, the fall of Akume is the topic of discussion at the moment among Tiv citizens.

Similarly, a check on Benue Family, a page for Benue community in social media show that people of the state are not happy with the out come of the election.
