Benue State in the news: Five things happening in Benue this Tuesday

Good morning. Here are the ten things trending in the food basket state this beautiful Tuesday morning .
1.  Two female friends simply identified as Wueseter and Yanfa literarily set the mediasphere on fire among Benue natives following a jaw-dropping picture uploaded by the former, which saw the duo in a serious tongue romance.

Though, Wueseter in a Facebook post claimed she was wishing her ‘lover’ happy birthday but many friends found it disgusting saying it is act of lesbianism. 
2. The hope of the Senate President, David Mark was dashed Tuesday morning after leadership o the Peoples Democratic Party  adopted Senator Bukola Saraki for the same position.
Mark was hoping to leverage on the ongoing  crisis rocking the ruling APC to emerge number 3 man in the nation but the party leadership rather settled for aggrieved Saraki for the post.
3. Latest report from Benue State has it that the political hammer of the All Progressives
Congress in the state has landed on Justice Utsaha,Chief JKN Waku, Barr. Emmanuel Jime, Anweh, Mrs Dorothy Mato and others.

It was gathered that the aforementioned persons were suspended from the ruling party over issues bothering on anti-party activities.

4. The outgoing Senate led by David Mark, has come under heavy lashing by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, which described the Senate’s unprecedented passage of 46 bills in 10 minutes last Wednesday as a “reckless path to lawmaking”.
The 46 Bills had earlier been passed by the House of Representatives and transmitted to the Senate for concurrence.

5. There are reports that the deputy speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly (BNHA), Hon James Okefe is currently running for his dear life following serious threats by some persons to oust him.

It was gathered that Hon Okefe who represents Okpokwu state constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP was the deal breaker that led to last Fridays emergence of Hon Terkimbi Ikyange – an APC member, as the speaker in the PDP-dominated Assembly.
