I will remain in PDP 'with David Mark' - Jerry Agada

Last weekend, Idoma Voice beamed its searchlight on former minister of education under the then Musa Yar'Auda government, Jerry Agada trying to know where he has dimmed his torch.

#IdomaVoiceSearchLight reports that last time Agada made any public speech was during an interview with a northern-based news outfit where he affirmed that anyone opposed to Mark's fifth term ambition is an enemy of the Idoma kingdom.

Apparently telling this newspaper that he's not in Orokam tapping palm wine, the literary doyen has decided to speak from his hidden shell.

In an interview with Vanguard, the Orokam-born politician said he will never defect to the PDP. Recall that former senate president, David Mark had also affirmed that he will be the last man standing in the former ruling party.

Agada, who once led the National Association of Nigerian Authors, in 2007 gunned for the Benue State gubernatorial seat but lost the ticket to the eventual winner, Gabriel Suswam whose tenure came to an end last month.

Speaking with the newspaper, the elder statesman said, "I as a person I cannot defect, because we were in power for 16 years and went to an election but suffered defeat."
