As the All Progressives Congress continues to swim in crisis with no end in sight, latest indication has it that current senate president, David Mark may still retain his seat as the number three man in the nation, IDOMA VOICE has learnt.

According to report, some APC lawmakers led by for former Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara State have reportedly reached an agreement with People’s Democratic Party lawmakers overnight to present a PDP candidate as President of the Senate. Immediate past Senate President, David Mark, was named as the likely beneficiary of Mr. Saraki’s revolt.

Though, Mark had earlier declared that the battle was between APC senators but the ongoing power tussle in the ruling party has repositioned him for the seat for another four years.
Problem erupted in the party after the APC in a mock election elected Ahmed Lawan as the next senate presdient with George Akume as his deputy.

Saraki who was one of the contenders kicked against the outcome of the election, hence his take a bow.

A new senate president of the eight assembly is expected to emerge tomorrow.
