Gunmen whisk away of popular Benue oil dealer

Gunmen believed to be kidnappers have abducted the octogenarian father of an oil dealer and businessman, Chief Athanisius Atser Kyausu, popularly known as Kyabiz.
The aged man, Papa Atser Kyausuin, was abducted by the kidnappers from his residence in Vandeikya local government area of the state last Saturday at about 9pm.

The state police command yesterday stormed the kidnappers’ hideout located in Asue community of Vandeikya LGA and arrested the kidnappers. The commissioner of police, CP Hyacinth Dagala paraded the suspects yesterday.

The three suspects, Terfa Terkura, Kwaghfan Apeaka and one Aondona told newsmen at the police command in Makurdi that they committed the crime. Two others had escaped.
The victim said the kidnappers came to his home on motorbike and covered his face before they took him to an unknown destination.

The son of the victim, Chief Kyabiz, said the daredevil abductors had called him on telephone, demanding a ransom of N20million but that he could not offer it because he did not have the money.
The commissioner of police further said a locally made pistol, two battle axes, one Toyota Corolla vehicle with registration number AE 328 GUA and other items were recovered from them
