All Owukpa Secondary Schools’ Football Fiesta debuts

All is now set for the maiden edition of All Owukpa Secondary Schools’ Football Fiesta, (AOSSFOF), Ukwo, Owukpa 2015 in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue.

The first-of-its-kind football cracker organized by Chadek Creations with your Kings of Community Tabloid; IDOMA VOICE as its official media partner is aimed at creating unity among students in Owukpa municipality. 

A statement by the Executive Director of Chadek Creations, Adeichenu Ekre Christian said the competition is organized to encourage grassroots sport in the suburb.
According to him, AOSSFOF also tends to project the rich cultural heritage of Owukpa community as well as its natural endowment to the world. 
The statement obtained by IDOMA VOICE on Sunday disclosed that no fewer than 12 secondary schools in the community would be slugging it out for the first prize (Gold) pegged at N500,000.
It said the first runner up would smile home with a silver trophy and a cash prize of N300, 000.
The bronze medalist would also get a consolation trophy and a 200,000 while the third runner up would get N100, 000 cash.
Best player, most valuable player and highest goal scorer would also win mouth-watering prizes.
“We have slated the kick off date for November 3 – 15, 2015 at the St. Edward Primary School, Ukwo Owukpa.
“We are glad at the supports we’ve been getting so far from corporate organization as well as individuals for the competition. We hope to unveil all our full partners and sponsors in no distant time.
“Interestingly, leading community tabloid, IDOMA VOICE is our official partner with others still indicating interest,” the statement added.
IDOMA VOICE observed that the community boasts of over 12 secondary schools, which include, Government Secondary School, Ugbugbu, Itabono Community Secondary School, Itabono, Owukpa Community Secondary School, Ibagba, Unity Secondary School, Ekere and St. John Secondary School, Ai-Famu.
Others include, Oladam College, Ai Odu, Eche Emeema Secondary School, Ukalegwu, Ilagba Memorial Secondary School, Ogwurute, St. James Int’l Secondary School, Ukwo, Egbi Memorial College, Ukwo and among others.
