One man put Idomaland in bondage for sixteen years - Dan Onjeh

The All Progressives Congress senatorial candidate in Benue South in the last general election, Comrade Dan Onjeh has once again ignited a war of words with former Senate President, Senator David Mark saying Idomaland from which both of them hail from, is bigger than David Mark.

He stated this on Saturday in Lagos at the just concluded Idoma Day held in UNILAG.

Onjeh said very soon, the Idoma community would be set free from its almost twenty years of ”bondage and retrogression” and called on the people to brace up for a new change.
The former student unionist said he was optimistic that by October when the Election Tribunal sits in Makurdi, power must surely change hand.

His words, “I stand here to tell you today that power is about to change hands. Our land is too big to be suppressed by one man. Get ready for a new change in our land. I strongly believe that by October when the tribunal would pass it judgment; Idomaland would be set free from two decades of suppression.
“For every student here present, I want to assure you that I was one of you and will always remain here for you,” he assured.
Comrade Onjeh was presented with an award for his contribution to Idomaland.
