Benue Assembly Speaker accused of using N50m to frustrate court order

Immediate past caretaker chairman of Ushongo LGA, Hon Saint Abraham Gbilekaa has taken a swipe at the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon Terkimbi Ikyange accusing him of frustrating a court judgement with N50 million.

Both politicians hail from the same local government and have been at loggerheads in recent times which culminated in the ousting of the former caretaker chairman earlier this month.
The Speaker on the other hand is also embattled following the decision of the High Court to conduct a fresh election in his constituency and newly created Mbagwa state constituency.

The decision however is yet to take full effect as there have been no sign of conduct of fresh elections within the 90 days stipulated by the court, which has triggered an attack from the former caretaker chairman.

” What is actually happening to the fresh conduct of election in Mata and Mbagwa State constituencies in Ushongo Local Government Area?
” There is an allegation that over zealous politicians have taken over N50 million to Abuja to frustrate the development in INEC office. ” said Hon Gbilekaa via his Facebook account.
