Fear grips David Mark's camp as 250 groups join Onjeh Volunteers Network

Written By Idoma Television on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 | 3:04:00 AM

There is palpable fear and anxiety in the camp of the former Senate President, Sen David Mark over the forthcoming re-run election into the Benue South Senatorial seat as different groups and associations continue to pledge their supports and readiness to work for the victory of the APC candidate, Comrade Dan Onjeh in the re-run election.

Speaking to newsmen in Oturkpo, the General Secretary of Onjeh Volunteers Network, Hon Akor Ikwuoche Esq, said since the Appeal Court ordered the re-run, over 250 socio-cultural groups, religious bodies, youths organisations, family meetings, age grades, elite clubs, town unions, etc have willingly come and pledged their supports to Comrade Dan Onjeh and they vowed to do all it takes to deliver land slide victory for APC in the re-run election.

The General Secretary said different groups troop into their secretariat on daily basis to register and pledge supports for Comrade Dan Onjeh.

"As you can see, all these piles of files are records and letters of allegiance from the groups that we have received so far".

"All the groups have told us that their resolve to align with Comrade Onjeh is due to his starling track record in fighting for the cause of the masses and they believe strongly that Comrade Onjeh will ensure that the government of APC which is the government in power fix the Otukpo-Enugu express way which is the only link through the Senatorial zone and will ensure Otukpo township and other communities within Benue South Senatorial District are provides with portable water and roads.

They lamented that David Mark spent over sixteen years in the Senate but yet the Otukpo - Enugu express way which is the only link through the Senatorial zone remains a death trap while Otukpo Township which is the home town of the former Senate President has no motorable roads or portable water.

They concluded that no right thinking Idoma voter will waste his/her vote for David Mark and his PDP because this is an era of CHANGE and Comrade Dan Onjeh is that that change we have been longing for.
