I dumped PDP because I have nothing to gain there – Gen Chris Garuba

Former military governor of Bauchi State, Major Gen. Chris Abutu  Garuba (rtd) has explained why he defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.

According to the retired military personnel, the Idoma nation has nothing to gain being in the opposition, considering the fact that the state is under the leadership of the APC.

Speaking with IDOMA VOICE in Otukpo recently, Gen, Garuba urged his kinsmen to join the change train.

He voiced his conviction thus: “You see, we in Benue, we normally belong to the winning team. We don’t toy around with the opposition or minority party.

“You see, by our nature, we don’t like to be in the minority, we always love to belong to the main thing. That is just the way it is. In this particular case, the state belongs to the ruling APC and the ruling government is APC so why do we Idoma want to remain in the opposition?

“We have nothing to gain as an opposition and that is why we are encouraging all our brothers and sisters to join the winning team so that the dividends of democracy can get to then.”
