Written By Idoma Television on Sunday, January 31, 2016 | 7:07:00 AM

The campaign organization of immediate past Senate President, David Mark has laughed off the claims in some quarters that its principal has not done anything for the Idoma people in his 16 years at the National Assembly.

The campaign team, Door2Door Organisation said it was unfortunate that the Idomas have decided to abandon Tiv people who are their real enemies to accuse him of underdeveloping the zone.

Speaking on a live TV debate, Head to Head, organised by IdomaTV in conjunction with Brekete Family TV on Saturday, Adakole Ijogi, who spoke on behalf of the ex-senate president stressed that it is an insult for the All Progressives Congress, APC, to present Daniel Onjeh as opponent to Mark.

Ijogi said Mark, had within the last few years given scholarships to over 14,000 students from Zone C.

"No Senator in the zone has achieved this feat. The reason I said this is that, have you ever heard of scholarship award from Senator George Akume or Barnabas Gemade? You can go an verify this," he said during the debate.

Speaking further, Ijogi warned Onjeh not to allow the Tivs use him against Idoma interest.

"How can you be fighting your legislator for not being able to provide water instaed of the governor?" He asked rhetorically.

On his part, Dan Ekah, who spoke for the Dan Onjeh Campaign Organisation insisted that the zone has not had a representative in the last 16 years.

"In 2011, the constitution was amended when Mark was the Senate President and he could not convince a senator to organize so that those areas could be looked into for the the creation of Apa State. If he had the interest of creating Apa, he could have done that," Ekah claimed.
