Benue South: February 20 rerun will confirm who actually won the last election - Onjeh

The All Progressives Congress Senatorial candidate in the forthcoming rerun in Benue South, Dan Onjeh has expressed confidence that he would win the election.

According to him, the people of the zone have decided to embrace the change and thus would not be forced to go into opposition. IDOMA VOICE report that Onjeh, while addressing newsmen recently, reminded Mark how he severally warned the Idoma against accepting the opposition, considering its status as a minority ethnic group.

His words, "It is obvious that the people of Benue have embraced change and by that change we the people of Benue South stand.

"My opponent, David Mark has said severally that it would be dangerous for the people of Benue South to be in the opposition, considering the fact that we are from a minority background and as such, he cannot eat back his word.
He cannot force us into opposition.

"The people of Benue South have resolved to remain in the mainstream.

"This is the first he is going into a serious election. Let us go there and reconfirm who actually won the last election."
