The All Progressives Congress candidate in the just concluded Benue South senatorial rerun election, Comrade Daniel Onjeh has insisted that he was never defeated in the contest.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Mark winner of the election after he polled over 84 thousand votes against his contender, Onjeh who garnered over 71 thousand votes.

However, the APC candidate argued that he won the election and that he was ready to fight to the end to reclaim his stolen mandate.Onjeh in a statement personally signed on Tuesday and obtained by IDOMA VOICE thanked the Idoma nation and the Benue South at large for coming out enmass to support him before, during and after the election.

According to him, “My name is Comrade. I want to sincerely thank all who kept faith with the struggle to liberate the Benue South people; thus, stood by me in every step of the way! To my Idoma Nation, I say CONGRATULATIONS!

“We've redeemed our collective dignity! Be consoled by the fact that even David Mark knows we won him with a landslide vote! You all helplessly witnessed in some LGs, how the security and INEC compromised while Mark's hired thugs had a field day thumb printing and stuffing ballot boxes! My life and struggle are intertwined; rest assured I will fight to the end to recover our stolen mandate! --Com. Daniel Onjeh.”
