BREAKING: Benue South rerun: Abba Moro's country home boils

The compound of Chief Paul Amanyi, otherwise known as Easy, has been completely razed by suspected political thugs in Ehicho-Ugwu Okpoga in Okpokwu LGA of Benue State.


DAILY POST reports that Amanyi is the clan head of the community.

The incident, which happened around 8 pm on Friday, left the man injured. He has since been taken to the hospital.

The affected village is in the constituency of Hon. James Ejembi Okefe, Deputy Speaker Benue State House of Assembly as well as the local government of former minister of interior, Aba Moro.
As at press time, no one has been arrested in connection with the violence.

As an indigene of Okpoga, I immediately consulted home to find out. It may be related to some outstanding land dispute which Mr Amanyi is the arrowhead by his position as a Traditional Chief. You may also confirm from the witnesses at the scene.
