Mark Twain once wrote, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.”

This vividly captures the message contained in “Stand Up, Get Up” the latest single released by gospel songstress, Naomee.
The message is simple and clear: Stand up, start something. Don’t depend on your certificate.

Stand Up uses the analogy of a certain Kola who graduates from school and only decides to sit at home waiting for his phone to ring, while there are millions of jobs inside him.  All you need to do is to “stand up and take a step” – that is theme of the song and Naomee’s message to her listener who is wont to slip into the lethargy of waiting for jobs to knock on his door instead of him knocking at the doors of opportunities inherent in him.

Of the new song, the Beautified By Grace singer said: “This is a birthday gift to everyone out there. I want to let us know that we all have something special inside of us. We do not need to sit and wait for only God knows. The song is trying to encourage anyone out there who is discouraged to get and start something. God has deposited something inside of you. All you need to do is to get up, start something.”

Her voice recalls the very best of Tasha Cobbs and Annie Nightingale put into one.
Naomi is a Nigerian gospel singer whose name says it all. She is a “people person” who reaches out to encourage and inspire others. Known as the “Songbird of the Benue,” she has been compared to Pattie LaBelle.

With an infectious smile and celestial-inspired voice, she throws up an image of the anointed musician. Her vibes would overwhelm you with a profound nostalgia.
In the ever-growing music stratosphere, this gospel crooner offers something fresh, original and timeless. One-minute listening is all the conviction you need. Welcome to the world of Naomi Oboyi, where ‘the voice is mightier than the sword.’
Her image flourished in her university days as she became an epitome of emulation amongst students.
The lass frequently called The Microphone First Lady commands big listenership on radio.

Oboyi is twice a microphone phenom. The nightingale is also a radio diva. After cutting her teeth at 103.5, Harvest FM, Makurdi,” the mass communication graduate of BSU, has found herself a pride of place in the saturated media sector. She is a highly sought-after compere and radio show host.

Her golden voice has won the heart of many.
