Unknown Gunmen set couple ablaze in Benue

Unknown gunmen at the weekend invaded the village of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, and killed a couple,
Police spokesman in the state, ASP. Moses Yamu, who confirmed the incident, said a man and his wife were shot dead in Agasha area of Guma Local Government Area, while the young man, Friday Okoh, was killed by suspected cultists.

Yamu said that the killers of the couple set the couple and their home ablaze before the police arrived at the scene to recover empty shell of rifle at the scene in Agasha, a suburb community of Makurdi metropolis.

He further explained that the mission of the arsonist against the couple could not be immediately ascertained but that the deceased Okoh had been on the wanted list of police on suspicion of cultism.
