Written By Idoma Television on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 | 4:17:00 AM

Natives of Idoma community are ready to shutdown the state following the abduction and murder of the Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Otukpo, Rev Fr John Adeyi.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Fr Adeyi was whisked away by some yet to be identified gunmen some weeks ago.

He was eventually killed and his body dumped in  Otukpa, his country home after collecting N2m ransom from the family.

Reacting to the ugly development, frontline activist and one of the pioneers of One Idoma Initiative, Andy Obeya, affirmed that the Idoma community would not allow the case swept under the carpet.

Obeya, who was among the championers of Agatu protest in Abuja, declared that he was ready to mobilize people to protest against the careless attitude of the state government and the security towards the abduction and eventual murder of the first Catholic priest from Otukpa.

He said, "PROTEST! PROTEST!!PROTEST!!!
Muslim community √
Christian Community√
Market women and men. √
Igbo community√
Yoruba community√
Hausa community√
Igala Community√
Tiv community√
Each one tell one, that the mother of all protest against the senseless killings, kidnappings, cult related activities and other vices that are fast eroding our values will hold Wednesday next week. Plans will be communicated soon!"

More to come.
