Wife of the former President of the Senate, Chief Mrs. Helen Onma Mark has called for prayers from all Nigerians for peace and stability of the country.
Mrs. Mark while speaking at a breakfast toast in Abuja on Wednesday to mark her 65th birthday said the unity and peace of Nigeria was not negotiable.
She however observed that Nigeria would not experience the needed development in absence of peace. Thus, she tasked all well meaning Nigerians to stand up in prayers for the leaders and unity of Nigeria as a nation.
The Enewa K'Idoma also used the forum to appreciate the good people of Benue South Senatorial District for always being supportive of Senator David Mark especially during the last rerun election.
In their separate remarks, wife of former House Leader, Dame Taminu Akogun; Member representing Otukpo/Ohimini federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Ezekiel Adaji; Chief Mike Mku; Senator Anthony Manzo; Senator Paulinus Igwe; Dr. Mrs. Bossa; Ene Ogbodo; Johnson Ameh; David Mark (Jnr) and Igoche Mark all eulogised the qualities of Mrs. Mark whom they described as a woman of substance who supported her husband to succeed especially in his political career.
Earlier, a thanksgiving mass was organised in honour of the celebrant where Monsignor Innocent Jooji and Fr. Gospel Inalegwu prayed for the family and the entire nation, Nigeria.
