More shocking and disgraceful revelations have continued to emerge over the recent award of ‘service and dedication’ conferred on Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom by the Idoma Association, USA.
This is just as many natives of Idoma resident in the God’s Own country have denied giving out any award to the governor.

A resident of the country, who gave his name as Oche told Idoma Voice on phone last night that the Idoma Association is just a political group and does not represent the interest of the Idoma Community.
According to him, some members of the group have not visited home for the past 11 years and as such do not have any right to award a governor who has succeeded in expunging Idoma from scheme of things in Benue State.
The angry caller cited education, agriculture and health sectors as areas the governor has failed woefully.
“I called on behalf of other Idomas here to react to the so-called award given to Governor Ortom at the just concluded convention of one group called Idoma Association USA. Sir, it would please you to know that here in US, we have over 2, 200 Idomas living here.
“I can authoritatively tell you that the group can not boast of 200 members. It is a kangaroo meeting and I advise our people to ignore them. I left the group when I noticed they were going political many years ago.
“That group does not represent the interest of Idoma community and should be ignored. Please help me pass this message to our people  back home. I am speaking the mind of thousands of Idomas living here. It is a slap on the Idoma community,” he told Idoma
Voice on phone.
