In a clear indication that the current Benue State government, led by Governor Samuel Ortom has shamefully failed, the social media team managing the already battered image of the struggling government has collapsed following its inability to manage the image of the governor.

IDOMA VOICE observed that members of the team are currently engaging each other in war of words on Facebook over who will control the affairs of the collapsed structure.

Lately, our reporter observed that a member of the team came out publicly to call for the resignation of a Special Adviser to the Governor for constantly criticizing the APC-led government.

The team members, who are little known on the blogsphere are also at war with the way a former member of the PDP, who recently decamped to the APC is parading himself, claiming to be the team leader.

Also confirming the latest disgraceful development, popular critic, Ogwuche Rexino said there is high tension in the social media wing of the ruling APC in Benue state.

He said, they are also divided along very dangerous (money) POCHO fault lines.

“Party discipline and loyalty have collapsed irredeemably. The social media team is presently a lame duck because of the fratricidal bickering. It is currently partitioned into three squabbling entities including the neocons who are silly keen to slay  all perceived ideological monsters even across the seas ( party ) ,the 10% group with all eyes on money (pocho ) while the other group that is worried about the disunity in the group.

Knowledgeable insiders confided in analysts that the intense crises which has  festered unabatedly despite the intervention of Gov Ortom  on arrival from US is a microcosm of the impending implosion in the APC ahead of the 2019 elections in the state.
