I regret ever supporting Governor Samuel Ortom – Josephine Akioyamen

Frontline activist and Coordinator of Idoma People of Nigeria Facebook Group, Josephine Akioyamen has taken a swipe at the executive governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom over his recent appointment in her country home, Okpokwu LGA.

Akioyamen said the governor was only out to destroy Okpokwu LG by appointing a little known Anna Itodo as Sole Administrator of the LG.

She said one of the greatest mistakes was to support the governor before the election that ushered him in last year.
She wrote thus:
It is clear to me that Ortom wants to destroy Okpokwu. It is now clear to me that he enjoys the crisis that has been going on in Okpokwu since the inception of his administration. Were it not so, he wouldn’t want to impose a woman we do not know her qualification Anna Itodo over a more qualified lawyer Mrs Adulugba.
Besides, Anna Itodo is from eke ward in Edumoga where the two past transitional chairmen came from. Ortom by this act is trying to unsettle the peace in Edumoga.
Ortom is always in the habit of doing this to the Okpokwu in concert with the half illiterate goon that the Okpokwu regretted ever electing to the House of Assembly who has never been able to move one single motion or do one single project in his constituency but revel in being called the ‘leader’.
I regret ever supporting this Governor. I’m beginning to think it is the greatest political mistake I have ever made. His decision-making ability is questionable.
Tell us Mr. Governor, what is the qualification of Anna Itodo? Are you trying to use the Okpokwu Local government to repay the Speaker’s and the Deputy Speaker refund to the EFCC? Is this the development agenda you promised when you were campaigning? Or is it because Anna Itodo is the classmate of your wife?
With Abba Moro’s leadership, Okpokwu was peaceful. With the Governor’s leadership, Okpokwu is in disarray. What the Governor cannot do with his Guma local government area, he practises in Okpowkwu.
Indeed he sees Idoma as slaves. We are watching and waiting.
