Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom are at war again.

Suswam has accused his successor, Samuel Ortom of bringing the state into serious mess.

While speaking at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, caucus meeting on Tuesday in Makurdi, the former governor lambasted his successor for running a government of deceit.
He alleged that the appointment of sole administrators by governor Ortom in a democratic system was not in conformity with the law, adding that it did not follow due process.

Suswam also accused Ortom of introducing hate and bitterness in his style of governance.

“Benue is in a big mess. We may stand up and speak loudly against this government even it means going to jail.

“I cannot chicken out because someone is threatening to take me to jail. We must fight for the future of our children. They are stealing money and think we do not know. At the right time, we will exposed them.

“We must remain resolute and remove this deceitful government in 2019”, Suswam advised.

In a sharp reaction, governor Ortom condemned Suswam’s comments as a ranting of a man who possessed forged and fake certificate.

He told newsmen on Tuesday that as a lawyer, the erstwhile governor should know that the constitution of the country allowed States to make laws for the local governments.

Ortom said the appointment of sole administrators followed due process of legislation from the house of assembly where PDP members hold sway too.

“Before now, people used to say that Suswam has fake and forged certificate but I did not believe it until now”, Ortom said.Just recently, Suswam described Ortom as a tyrant, whose debt in the state cannot be repaid by three generations.
