Abandoned Benue State radio substation at Idekpa resumes operations soon

The Governor, Samuel Ortom has instructed that the abandoned state radio substation at Idekpa, Ohimini LGA, Benue State resumes broadcast before the end of the year, 2016.
The Hon. Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Chief Odeh Ageh, disclosed this while on inspection tour of the state broadcast facility Saturday in Idekpa.

According to him, the tour of the radio was to enable him ascertain its extent of dilapidation due to many years of wanton abandonment by the immediate past administration, with a view to renovating it to meet modern standard for a broadcast station.
The  Hon. also said he was redoubling efforts to get the radio back on air within a stipulated time. He added that already a five-kilowatt transmitter had been acquired towards bringing back to life as well to boost the coverage reach of the radio.
Chief Ageh was in company of his Housing and Urban Development counterpart, Barr. John Otokpa Onoja; Perm Sec in the information ministry, Mrs Eunice Agada and Radio Benue General Manager, Mrs. Espei Ushe Uba, among others dignitaries.
