Some young boys suspected to be friends with one Emmanuel, who was killed by a moving truck last week in Otukpo reportedly stormed the Otukpo Community Secondary School, Upu on Sunday and destroyed some of the school properties.
The enraged youths allegedly tied down the security guard and threatened to paralyze academic activities in the school  today over the refusal of the school authority to sponsor the burial of their late friend.

IDOMA VOICE reports that the late Emmanuel, a student of the  school was working on a farm in Otukpo-Icho village and in an attempt to get himself sachet water to drink fell from the moving vehicle that was conveying the water and the driver unknowingly climbed him with one of the tires which damaged his internal organs and also caused them to spill out. Another inscription on the principal's doorpost reads " Mr. Principal, your cup is full, be ready for us, there will be no exams for the whole of SS II today. Stupid man!”

A source told IDOMA VOICE that "the boys were angry that the school did not sponsor or assist the family of their deceased, who was buried yesterday, in any way throughout the burial process.
