The National President of Diocesan Priests of Nigeria and Senior Lecturer, College of Education, Oju,  Benue State,  Rev. Fr. Sylvester Onmoke has made a strong case for the needy and the less privileged in the society.

Fr. Onmoke said it was only when the people make it as a point of responsibility to contribute to humanity positively that one would be said to have lived a fulfilled and celebrated life.
Speaking during the homily at the burial mass of Sir Stephen Odiba Adole in Adoka, Benue State on Friday, the clergy said it would be worthwhile to celebrate those who are still living, rather than doing so when they are dead.

While acknowledging the good deeds of late Noble Stephen Adole, the clergy added that it was the good work of the late Philanthropist that made all and sundry to gather from all walls of life, to celebrate him.

Our Correspondent reported that the burial was attended by creme de la creme of the society, amongst whom are former President of Nigerian Senate, Dr. David Mark, the Enewa k’Idoma, Chief Mrs. Helen Mark, Senator Tunde Ogbeha and wife, Mrs. Esther Ogbeha and Alhaji UsmanAbubakar  (a.k.a Young Alhaji).

Samson Okwu of Oju/Obi federal constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Egli Ahubi of Otukpo/Akpa and Hon. Joseph Ojobo of Ogbadibo state constituency of Benue House of Assembly.
