Ayatse was elected as the new Tor Tiv on Tuesday following the demise of Alfred Tokurla many months back.

Reacting to the development, the Tiv social media community believes the choice of Ayatse was the best thing that could every happen to the traditional stool of the Tiv kingdom.

They hailed the state governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom for not interfering into the traditional election, which produced the new leader of the Tiv nation.

Airing his view on the development, top Tiv social media enthusiast, Bede Bartholomew prayed God to grant the new monarch the wisdom to oversee the traditional stool of the Tiv land.

He said,  MAY THE KING LIVE LONG

#Congratulations
HRM JAMES AYATSE.
Your are now….
Tor pati,
Tor bo,
Tor vihintu,
Tor ukase,
Tor Kwande,
Tor Zone A,
Tor butel,
Tor Bibilo,
Tor tsav,
Tor hua,
Tor Ortom
Tor this and Tor that, it depends on whatever we feel at anytime under different circumstances.
Your highness, we are Tiv, we are a peculiar people.
But my humble prayer is May the good Lord bless you with the wisdom to lead us, and my appeal is please just be our Tor first, be Tor Tiv.
May your reign be prosperous.

On his part, radical social media activist and writer, Gurgur Japheth MP believes that the emergence of Ayatse would bring back the lost glory of the land.

“We have gone past the era of alu Ikpurkon Kpa ina. We do not want a Tor who will go genuflecting, intellectually, before contemporaries, elsewhere in Ooni Kingdom of Ile Ife or Kanem-Bornu Empire.

We need a Tor with high intelligence quotient and uncommon naTIVe wisdom.
Zaaaaaaaki!”

Also reacting, Iorliam Shiaj, who had earlier called for a Tor Tiv of Kwande extraction believes that the emergence of Ayatse is the beginning of many good things to happen to Tivland.

On his part, Solomon Mfa  said, “That the three other contestants from Sankera all put together had 7 votes, while the new Tor Tiv had 39 votes!
(1) This is the type of “rigging” junior wants.

(2) Prof Ayatse was the ONLY Kwande contestant that went in for the elections. This has huge lessons for me and for the entire Tiv nation.

If the Kwande that I know can now stand with one person for a position that promises POCHO FOR LIFE, it means the Tiv nation has prospects of a better future. So KWANDE UNITED is back? Sure the Tiv people shall stand as one again!

Remember sometime ago, I said the Kwande people be held responsible for the ROT IN TIVLAND since the FISH ROTS FROM THE HEAD and Kwande is the ANCESTRAL HOME of the Tiv nation and arguably has the highest number of Professors.

In that spirit my dear sister, Lynda Inyareghdoo Adzuanaga, who was down and I kept postponing seeing her has forgiven me. Dear sister, as you have forgiven me I promise to match my intentions with words and give you a special treat at an event on the 27th day of this month. Please Ahemen de la Crème should not know of my special plans for you.

Medical doctor-cum-writer, Usha Anenga said, “Congratulations to my teacher and my student at the same time…

HRH Orchivirigh Professor James Ayatse, Tor Tiv the fifth
Shitile may feel hard-done by, but we’re going to have a brilliant monarch, that I’m very sure about.

Let’s unite and claim our place as the fourth largest tribe in Nigeria.
Congratulations again!

Antswen Emmanuel Bem said, finally something has unite the Tiv people. Both PDP and APC supporters all hail the New Tiv Paramount Ruler Elect HRM Prof. James Ayatse Tor Tiv the fifth. Congratulations jare Tiv people. Thank God for this reunification. Thank God for the wisdom and CHOICE
