Thanks for Your Well Wishes

Angbianev mba doon mo shima cii:

My family and I are humbled by all your well wishes regarding the ambassadorship nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari. To God be all the Glory!

I appreciate all of your congratulatory messages by phone, text, social media, etc.

I know that some of you have received this news with mixed feelings. While some of you are happy, believing that we have earned this honor, others feel a bit disappointed because you expected another type of appointment. I understand.

Personally, I believe there could be no greater honor being nominated to serve as ambassador of one’s own country abroad. I believe that the good Lord is in control, and we appreciate Him for all His blessings.

I ask for your continued prayers and well wishes as I and the other nominees go through the process of Senate confirmation. I’m happy that one among us, HE Demenongo Agev, has already scaled through the process and is going through, or has gone through, the immersion program. I could use his tremendous foreign mission experience.

This honor bestowed on me is not on me personally. All of you have been part of this project since 2010, and the honor goes to you squarely. Therefore, I will be calling on you to help me as resource persons for as long as I serve in this capacity. You must assist me in making this work for Nigeria, Benue State, and the Tar Tiv.

Please join me in expressing sincere appreciation to Wantaregh Paul Unongo, our father; HE Governor Samuel Ortom; HE Senator George Akume; Senator Barnabas Gemade; Senator JKN Waku; and Chief Felix Akiga; among a whole host of others, for working tirelessly to ensure that this opportunity was provided to us. It is a start, and we appreciate.

Thanks again for your well wishes. Remain blessed IJN! Amen!
