UNVEILED! 10 Idoma young stars to watch in 2017

By Vera Enenche

In this list, Idoma Voice showcases 10 young Idoma stars who are flying the red and black flag high in their chosen careers.

With the level they have upped their games and stepped up their antes, they are tipped to wow in 2017 like never before.

For three consecutive years, acclaimed National Comedy Adviser to any sitting president, Enenche Obonyilo Peters, famously known as Enenche De Comedian has made the list of young Idoma guys to watch in the New Year.
Enenche remains an unequal match as far as comedy in Idomaland and Benue State at large is concerned.
He was up and doing the previous year where he headlined high profile events in Nigeria and beyond.
This Idoma-born comic merchant has natural sense of humour mixed with the flavour of a learned intellectual who observes daily human struggles and lifestyles and convert them into stomach tearing jokes that leaves his fans in the state of euphoria and experience of joy and hope. He is indeed a man to watch this year.
Naomi D’Diva
The year 2016 was not bad for this Idoma-born queen of microphone after all.
Following her relocation from the city of Makurdi after cutting her teeth with Harvest FM, Naomi Oboyi, globally known as Naomi D’Diva came, saw and conquered.

She is a lady to look out for in this New Year.

With barely a year in the highly and equally saturated radioshpere in Abuja, Naomi broke into the list of B-list top radio presenters in Abuja with her unique style and honey-baked voice. Her presence in Vision FM has no doubt won many ‘souls’ to the radio station.
Interestingly, she also added blogging to her burgeoning proilfe and was severally listed among top 10 bloggers in Benue blogsphere in 2016. Keep a tab on her.

Young up and coming singer, Ochanya Blessing is one of the ladies to watch for in this New Year. In 2016, she dropped her debut album, a studio effort that has received a lot of plaudits for music buffs. Her video entitled ‘My Boo’ is still topping video charts across the nation. Watch out for this damsel.
MC Smart
He is fans’ favourite. One thing that keeps this young man going and outstanding is the passion he has for the job. He has the ability to rip your stomach into two with laughter. This most-sought after MC has been a hot cake for event planners within the last 12 months. 2017 will be another great year for him.
Amokachi twins
A tortoise can not grow shell while its offsprings develop feathers, this popular axiom captures the story of Nazim and Kalim, the two twins of former Super Eagles legend, Daniel Amokachi.
The natives of Otukpa in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State wrote their names on 1-year contracts sheet and moved to Turkish champions, Besiktas.

Dubbed as 21star lyrical general, social media enthusiast and singer, Isreal Achichi, otherwise known as Archi is a man to watch this year 2017. If not for anything, the singer captured the heart of African women with the single he dropped towards the tail end of 2016 entitled Amazing Ma. The song, widely accepted by African mothers is currently enjoying massive airplay on radio stations across the nation. He is currently working on the video.

Owie Abutu
He is the rave of the moment. His song, Halleluyah, from his latest album, Pages of My Heart is like a street anthem in the gospel music terrain.  Owie Abutu is of the opinion that with music, one can change this world for Jehovah.
Noella Eneh has never disappointed her fans. She had a huge success in the industry last year. Her songs were on the lips of all and sundry. This year, Noella will surely dazzle.
Meddy Emmanuel Olotu
After a long hiatus from the music scene, Idoma-born singer, Meddy returned with a bang towards the last quarter of the year 2016. He dropped a single entitled Yawa and it is gradually picking up. He bagged the Idoma legend award in December.
Abah Israel
His song, Gwumolo L’owoicho is like fresh wine. This Owukpa son surely has something new to offer this New Year. Keep your eyes on him.
