Idoma community hails George Alli over birth of Army Estate in Otukpo

The Idoma community has poured in glowing encomiums on the Sole Administrator of Otukpo LGA of Benue, Hon. George Alli over the birth of Nigeria Army Post Service Estate.

IDOMA VOICE reports that the estate which will birth a mega city is expected to produce at least 1000 housing units located in Eupi after Enugu round about in Otukpo.
Alli, who had in the past attracted other laudable project to the power house of Idoma kingdom without delay allocated a sizeable portion of land to the PHD team where the estate would be erected.

Compensation was also paid to the host community.

Reacting to the development, the national coordinator of Conference of Idoma Youth, Samuel Adole described Alli as a man with the magic wand.

Adole in a statement issued on Tuesday saluted Alli to putting Otukpo once again in the map of the world with his developmental strides.

“When we first heard about the project, we never doubted it; considering the brain behind it. We saw our own illustrious son, Bar. Paul Edeh and the hard-working Otukpo SOLAD and we were pleased.
“Indeed, Alli has been able to transform Otukpo with his magic wand within the short period of his reign as the first man of the local government.

“We are glad and we thank the Nigerian Army for remembering Otukpo. This is indeed a welcome development,”  Adole said.

Also reacting, a retired Idoma-born military personnel, Amedu Ijika said the project was the best thing that would happen to the people of Idoma community.

He also showered encomium of the Otukpo SOLAD for welcoming the idea with warm embrace.

“Other infertile minds would easily discard such project but our son welcomed it and made it possible. This is indeed great. We hope that this project would further reduce the rate of social vices amongst youths in the community,” he said.

On its part, Idoma Patriots, a social-cultural group said Hon. has returned the epithet of Otukpo as the Beautiful Bride of North Central.

The group in a terse statement issued Tuesday morning promised to give the Army the necessary support while the project lasts.
