Reports reaching us from Abuja have it that men of the Nigerian Police have literarily declared war on the national commandant of the Peace Corps of Nigeria, Amb. Dickson Akoh.

Men of the police yesterday night surrounded the house of the NC.

This development is coming barely three days after the federal high court had given police and the DSS five days to explain why they arrested Akoh and 49 other officers of the organization recently.
Delivering ruling in an ex parte motion filed by the Incorporated Trustees of PCN, Justice Gabriel Kolawole said the respondents must appear in court on March 28, 2017 with affidavit evidence on why an order of interim injunction restraining them from further arresting members of the Corps should not be granted against them.

Apparently irked by the order, the police have launched a manhunt on Akoh in Abuja on Friday.

A family source said the police, led by a certain Bala are currently on the trail of Akoh after unsuccessful efforts to track him down through his telephone.

“As we speak, they have ransacked everywhere for him within Abuja, including Hemas Hotel in Jabi but all to no avail.

“Hon.  Agbo Ogar’s house was ransacked. Lele Dell Hotel in Gwarimpa was also searched. Every exist point in Gwarinpa has a road block just to get him arrested. Chief Adem Ali was arrested and his house ransacked.
“His life is no safe at the moment as we don’t really know why they are after him,” a family source said amid shriek voice on Friday night.

Text message to the Jimoh Moshood, Force PRO was not responded at the time of this report.
