Despite his victory at the Supreme Court last month, the Benue State government has refused to recognize Hassan Saleh as the lawmaker representing Ado, Okpowku and Ogbadibo Federal constituency.

Checks by IDOMA VOICE on Tuesday show that Hassan Anthony Saleh is currently the man speaking on behalf of the constituency in the zone after flooring his challenger, Chris Adabah Abah recently at the Supreme Court.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Justice Sidi Bage of the Supreme Court had in his verdict, March 10 confirmed that the respondent, Chris Adabah Abah truly presented forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and should be arrested and prosecuted without delay.

Few days after his victory, Saleh defected to the All Progressives Congress, thus triggering nationwide debate.
While Saleh has since resumed as the lawmaker representing the constituency, checks on the Benue State official website on Tuesday showed that the picture of Mad Lion is still there as the rep member.
According to the write that accompanied the picture on the website where other lawmakers from the state were displayed.
“Christian Adabah Abah was born in the year 1965. He is a native of Otukpa in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State of Nigeria.

“In the year 2015, Christian Adabah Abah contested for the position of membership in the Nigerian National Assembly, particularly, the Federal House of Representatives, popularly known as the “Green Chamber”. Having been one of the contestants, he was declared winner of the election, and became the member representing the Ado/Obadigbo/Opkokwu Federal Constituency of Benue State on the platform of the Party Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).”
