Gospel music star and Ohimini crooner, Owie Abutu has recall his close encounter with death as a 300 level student in the University of Maiduguri, Borno State.
Mr. Abutu said he literarily had a handshake with death on the campus after some Muslim guys accused him of tearing the Holy Quran.

A thankful Abutu made this disclosure yesterday in Abuja at the just concluded White Worship Concert organized by the Tina Bawa Ministries.
According to the thankful singer, God sent two angels in form of humans to rescue him from the grip of death.
“I remember a scenario that happened to me as a third year student in the University of Maiduguri in 2007.  I was going to write exam around 2pm and 10 Muslim guys accosted me with knives, dagger and other dangerous weapons.  They surrounded me and claimed that they saw me tearing the Holy Quran.
“And as they were talking, Quran was tore before me both right left and centre such that I could deny it.
“They were ready to slay me over a crime I committed not. As they were talking, two other guys on motorbike ran into them and said, ‘leave him alone.’ As they were talking scriptures started running through my head. I began to say, “Even the lawful captive shall be set free and even them that are appointed for death shall be delivered.
“In my very eyes, the 500 level student of the Sharia Law who led the gang began to apologise.   While the guy was yet talking, the two other men vanished. And the holy spirit told me that they were not men but angels who came in form of humans so their brothers could accept them.”
He said when one worships God; it is just a response to what Jehovah has done.
