The lawmaker representing Adoka/Ugboju constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly, Okloho John Adam has stated that the Nigerian youths stand to loose a lot if the bill seeking the establishment of Peace Corps of Nigeria is thrown into recycle bin.

Okloho, famously known as ‘Messenger’ warned people against linking the noble organization to any political party.

The lawmaker was apparently reacting to the recent moves by the senate to abandon the bill, which had earlier been passed by both lower and upper chambers of the house.

According to him, “If Peace Corps of Nigeria Bill suffered a Setback or abandoned by the Senate! What is the meaning of the two weeks giving to the concern COmmittee to Submit the final report?

Who will suffer if the bill is abandoned by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?  Some of us are quietly watching the suffering Nigerian youths & praying for them.

Let me make it clear at this juncture that Ambassador & indeed Peace Corps of Nigeria never includes political affiliation as prerequisites or condition for enrollment. We must be thinking of Which National honour to bestow this intelligent young man instead of wishing him evil

“The Nigerian Youth's Destiny, Future, Wellbeing, Hope and progress will suffer if this Noble baby call PCN is stillbirth because of individual or group parochial interests. It's a shame to the governing APC and its members at the National Assembly if this Bill suffers further delay because if a single Nigerian youth is engaged or employed is a plus for the party and indeed all well meaning Nigerians.

“We're watching the members of the Committee who adopted this baby PCN as theirs at the public hearing.
