The arrival of the new Police Commissioner was celebrated by a Guard of Honour, mounted by the police at the headquarters.

It was preceded by a formal handover by his predecessor, Mr Sam Okaula at the Commissioner’s office.

The new police boss who hails from Kaduna State, served in Bauchi State as the immediate past state Commissioner of police before his new posting to Anambra State.

In his speech, the new Commissioner of Police, Garba Umar, disclosed that the people of the state deserve their right to peace and tranquility, adding that no amount of threat from any quarter, would undermine the quality of life they had been enjoying in the state.
