The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has denied the massacre of peaceful unarmed protesters at Lekki toll gate in Lagos on Tuesday by Nigerian soldiers despite video and pictorial evidences.

The Governor stated this on TV after his visit to the injured victims on Wednesday morning.

“Nobody died In Lekki Last night.” Sanwo-Olu.

Reacting to the news, singer Burna wondered why the Governor could lied on national TV.

He tweeted, “No fatalities!??? How can @jidesanwoolu state on national TV that there were no casualties in the #LekkiMassacre.”

Nigeria Defender had earlier reported that Nigerian soldiers trapped protesters at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday evening. At least nine were confirmed killed by eyewitnesses and those beaming the development from the scene on Tuesday night.
