1. Last week, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu named Kabiru Masari as his running mate, in pace-holding capacity, for the 2023 elections.

Kabiru is a native of Katsina State, the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari and he’s of the Islamic faith.

1. Motorists and commuters were stranded on Sunday in some major roads on Sunday, as residents thronged metropolis to receive the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu from Abuja to Lagos, 12 days after he won the party’s presidential ticket.

2. The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, yesterday, narrowly escaped death, when his convoy was attacked by hoodlums on Lagos Island.
The hoodlums attacked the convoy shortly after Tinubu had conferred with the Oba of Lagos and was on his way back to his house on Bourdillon, Ikoyi, when the hoodlums struck.

3. The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has disclosed that his victory at the party’s special convention and presidential primary did not come easy, noting that he fought a hard battle to clinch the ticket.
Tinubu stated this on Sunday when he returned to Lagos State for the first time after clinching the APC presidential ticket during the primary held early this month in Abuja.

4. A civil society group, New Nigeria Collective (NNC), has cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, against a Muslim-Muslim ticket, saying it would damage his life-long presidential ambition.
The group, in a statement by its general secretary, Bosun Osifowora, said Tinubu’s delay in naming his running mate and resort to a ‘place holder’ option was because he is conflicted on whether to use a Muslim-Muslim or Muslim-Christian ticket.

5. The All Progressives Congress (APC) Integrity Group has called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, to consider Dr Ibrahim Dauda, a technocrat, as the party’s Vice Presidential candidate.
The group made the call in a statement on Sunday in Abuja, which was jointly signed by its Coordinator, Malam Dawu Mohammed and Secretary, Chinsom Nwakanma.
6. Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor-elect, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji, and the party for winning Saturday’s governorship election.
Tinubu in a statement by his Media Office said the victory was largely made possible by the progressive leadership provided by Governor Kayode Fayemi in the state.
7. Popular comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, says he has only collected money from the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, for events and not for political support.
Recall that the comedian had recently faced some backlash over his support of Tinubu. However, he stated that those who did not like the fact that he is supporting Tinubu can ‘unfollow’ him on social media, as he is entitled to support whoever he wants to.
8. Former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Femi Fani Kayode has reiterated that he will do everything within his capabilities to rally support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the party.
Fani-Kayode, who made the assertion in a thread of tweets via his verified Twitter handle, said he will not back down on his support for Tinubu.

9. Members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos have said they will support the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The President of the Ohaneze Ndigbo in Lagos, Chief Solomon Aguene, who disclosed this in a telephone interview with Saturday PUNCH on Thursday, explained that since the group was in support of a second term for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, there was nothing wrong in supporting his (Sanwo-Olu) presidential candidate.
